Witness Account

I was walking my dog. Dark out, stars visible. I looked up at the sky, roughly 50 degrees NE. I saw a bright white light, like a large star in the sky. It grew brighter, whiter, seemingly bigger, and for a moment I thought it was a plane or possibly a satellite getting closer. And then it seemed to dim instantly, if that makes sense. I saw something very faint streak into the distance, away from earth, and that was it. No trace it had been there. No sign in any direction. It’s how I imagine a star imploding might look, except very close. But with the streaking away at the end it made me think of a ship’s engines flaring and then the ship shooting off at speed. I didn’t see anything that resembled a ship or even object however. Just the weird light.
