Witness Account

I was facing Eastward towards the moon which was behind the clouds. I suddenly saw a bright star appear in the clouds it was like maybe 30° up from the horizon. I noticed it there for moment before it instantaneously sped off. I watched it cross (by my guess) over mile of cloudy sky in a little over a second. As it flew, it was totally silent and cast a white glow on the clouds as it flew through them. One of the other people present noticed it and called it out, and me and two others confirmed that we had also seen it.
