Bright neon glowing orb the size of a softball hovered near trees on the playground, giving a strong sense of being watched.

Witness Account

I was 10–13 years old (born 1990) and playing with 2 to 4 other children on the playground opposite entrance 2 of Block 375, Mladost 3, Sofia, Bulgaria. It was already dark (night time), but before 22:00 due to children’s evening curfew. We noticed a perfectly spherical orb, approximately the size of a softball (10–12 cm in diameter). It emitted a very bright, intense neon-like glow from within — mainly bright white/silver with shifting, flowing aurora-like colors (soft greens, blues, and purples). At first, the orb was hovering calmly near the trees at the far edge of the playground. Its movement was smooth and gentle. There was a very strong, unmistakable feeling that the object was consciously observing us and was aware that we were watching it.After several minutes, it suddenly accelerated at extremely high speed (almost instantaneous) across the playground and stopped abruptly right behind us, near the trees by the swings. It hovered there for a short moment and then completely vanished. There was absolutely no sound during the entire event. We were all frozen in shock for a few seconds, then panicked and ran home.
