Witness Account

At approximately midnight while driving, I observed a small, yellow/blueish orb-like light traveling downhill on the roadway. The light then made an abrupt change in direction and disappeared. My initial impression was that it could have been a bicycle light; however, there was abrupted changes in acceleration beyond the means of a bicycle and the sudden change in direction did not seem consistent with that explanation. Wildlife (deer, fox, and a cat) were active in the area at the time. No sound was noted. The sighting lasted approximately 3 seconds. The other possible explanation I've come up with is ball lightning.
