“Moving star”, satellite like lights moving in the North/Northwest Sky

This all took place over the course of nearly 2 hours. Taking my dog outside in my backyard looking to the Northwestern/North facing sky horizon at approximately 9:50PM AZ time I noticed what seemed to be a satellite moving across the sky from west to east at about 40 degrees in the clear sky. It caught my eye as it seemed very bright and I continued to watch it, but it quickly dimmed out and made me question what it was. I double checked the time as I found it odd a satellite was so bright this time of night. I continued to watch this N/NW patch of sky between 20ish? to 60 degrees and saw more and more “satellites” thats light would materialize visibility out of nowhere, become dimmer/lighter and vice versa. “Satellites” moving West to East, East to West, North to South and South to North from my viewpoint. Other angles as well. There were some that seemed to move in pairs, semi vertical of each other. At one point, 4 were moving in different directions in a way that they intersected (from my vantage point) forming a square in the sky, each point on the square being a point of moving light. They would brighten up, and then dim down to disappear to my naked eye. A yellowish/white…
