So, there I was, just chilling in my backyard, trying to fix the old bike my grandpa left me, when out of nowhere this bizarre whirring noise fills the air. It wasn't like anything I'd heard before - like a cross between a swarm of bees and a mechanical hum. I look up, expecting to see some drone, but instead, this metallic, silvery disc just hovers there, right above the oak tree. It had these strange symbols glowing faintly along the rim, kind of like ancient hieroglyphics but way more alien. The thing just hovered there, spinning slowly, as if it was checking me out. I couldn't take my eyes off it, half-expecting some beam of light to suck me up or something. But then, it just zipped away, faster than any aircraft I've ever seen.
