Green orb seen in clouds, stretches and disappears into glowing light

Witness Account

I was walking home from the store with my 12 year old son. He is my oldest and on the spectrum. The sun was setting, so the sky was starting to darken but there was still light outside. As we were about to turn the corner towards our apartments, I saw a green flash out of the corner of my eye. Initially, I thought it might be a meteor because the green was so sudden and bright. I turned my head left to look at the sky and there I saw a green, orb-like object in the clouds. The object did not have an exact shape. Circular but not perfect. A little hazy looking around the edges, but solid in color. There were no marking or details of any kind on it. It was as if it was painted on the cloud. I was trying to adjust my eyes to focus on the object, still trying to make sense of what I was looking at. Then, far to the left of the object, a glow appeared underneath a cloud. The glow itself was not vibrant, it was very subtle. It was localized and lit a very small portion of the cloud where you were able to actually see the shape and detail of the cloud with the light that was being produced.
