Witness Account

I took my dog out for the last time of the night. When I looked up I saw an orange orb the color of a flame. It appeared lower in the sky so at first I thought it might be a drone with a light of some type. But as it continued westward it rose higher until it was just a dot and then disappeared from my sight. It appeared to travel in a straight line at a consistent speed. I considered that it may be a Chinese lanterns, but my experience with them is that they don’t last that long, move that far, or go that high. The night sky was very dark with no moonlight and the Galena Territory is dark skies compliant and far from any larger towns or cities.
