Witness Account

So there I was, lounging on the rooftop of my apartment building, trying to soak in some afternoon sun with my favorite book in hand. Suddenly, a shadow zoomed over me, so quick I thought it was a cloud. But looking up, I saw this odd, glimmering shape slicing through the sky like it owned the place. It wasn't round, like the saucers you see on TV, but more like a flattened football, shimmering with a silver-blue hue. It made no noise, but the air around it seemed to crackle like static electricity. My mind couldn't wrap around it, so I just lay there, mesmerized. In an instant, it shot upwards, zigzagged a couple of times like it was dancing, and vanished. I swear, I wasn't dreaming or hallucinating.
