Orange Orb Seen Low in Horizon, Vanished Instantly My son (13) and I were driving west bound on 48th st NE past Hadley Creek golf course. We saw for a period of about 25-30 seconds a dark orange orb low on the horizon to the west southwest. It was perhaps 40-50% higher than the treetops to the west when driving. From what we could gather it seemed like it was about 1-2 miles away. At first I thought it was just a low flying plane, but I noticed it wasn't blinking. I then asked my son "What is that? It's not blinking at all". We watched it at we drove towards and upto the lights at the intersection. The entire time and it seemed to not be moving at all. The dark orange light/orb itself seemed like it was a bit too big to be from a plane either. I would put the brightness of this orb on par with Venus, but again, larger in appearance by maybe 50-75%. As we were pulling up to the intersection to stop all the sudden the light/orb just vanished. One moment I saw it, then it was just blackness behind. My son said he saw it fade to black in about 1/4 second. I thought perhaps it was still a plane that went behind a blanket of clouds, but we realized quickly that there were actually no…
