Moving about 600mph from south east from the Grants Pass area toward Medford airport

Witness Account

Last night at about 3:33am as I was letting the dogs out I looked to the north west and saw a bright orange light moving really fast with out any noise travel down a back bone short mountain that can be seen from my back yard was traveling down the ridge line of the mountain toward the I-5 freeway toward the area north west of the Medford Oregon airport. It was moving super fast I would estimate around mach 1. I say this because I have watched military aircraft for over 36 years while serving in the military. As the craft approached the area over I-5 the light slowly went to dark, and I couldn't see this thing any longer. The air space this thing occupied is not any flight pattern for the airport. the area has collision hazards and is always a notam for all flight plans. This is the second time that I have witnessed something unexplained flying that path in the last 4 years.
