So, there I was, standing in the middle of a sunflower maze at a local farm festival. It was mid-afternoon, and the sun was just starting to dip, casting these crazy long shadows. Suddenly, everything went quiet—like, even the bees stopped buzzing. I looked up and saw this massive, silver disk hovering just above the tallest sunflowers. It wasn't making a sound, just floating there, and I swear it was spinning ever so slightly. I was frozen, my corn dog halfway to my mouth, just staring at this thing. The next thing I know, a beam of light shot down from the bottom of the disk, illuminating a scarecrow about 50 feet away. The scarecrow started to glow, then lifted off the ground and spun around like a ballerina on a music box. I was so entranced, I didn't even notice when the disk started to move. It drifted silently over the field, pausing every so often to shine its light on another part of the maze.
