i was in my backyard, fiddling with an old telescope my uncle left me. i don't really know how to use it, just like messing around. suddenly, this odd whirring noise caught my attention. it wasn't loud, but it was distinct, like a hummingbird on a caffeine rush. i looked up and saw this massive, shiny disc hovering just above the maple tree. it was glistening under the afternoon sun, like it was made of liquid silver. there were these swirling patterns on its surface, almost like it was breathing or alive. it didn't make any sense! before i could even reach for my phone, it zipped away, faster than anything i'd ever seen.
