Witness Account

So, there I was, on the porch of my cousin's cabin, trying to get a clear view of the Northern Lights, which were supposed to be quite the show that night. I wasn't expecting much, but I brought out my sketchpad just in case inspiration struck. Suddenly, this glowing, orb-like thing just appeared out of nowhere, hovering above the treetops, kind of pulsing with this faint, bluish light. It was about the size of a small car, maybe a bit larger. I blinked a couple of times, thinking maybe it was a trick of the light, but nope, it was real. It moved in a strange zigzag pattern, almost like it was following some invisible path, but then it just stopped mid-air, as if it was looking right at me. The weirdest part was this low hum, like an electric drone, vibrating through the air, making my teeth buzz. As I sat there, dumbfounded, my cousin came out with a cup of cocoa, and she nearly dropped it when she saw the thing. We both just stood there, jaws dropped, as the orb shifted colors, from blue to green to a soft yellow. Then, without warning, it shot up into the sky with a speed that was absolutely insane, leaving a faint trail of sparkling particles behind. No landing or anything, just gone in a flash. We spent the rest of the night trying to make sense of it all, but honestly, I think it'll be a mystery forever. And no, we didn't encounter any little green men or anything like that, but it's definitely a night I'll never forget.
