So there I was, knee-deep in the mud at the edge of the Bow River, trying to fish out my boot which got stuck while I was attempting to catch that elusive rainbow trout. Just as I was about to give up, this bizarre whirring sound filled the air. I looked up, expecting to see a drone or something, but what I saw was nothing like any tech I've ever seen. This massive, metallic disc hovered above the river, almost like it was observing me. It had a surface that seemed to ripple, reflecting the water below in the most hypnotic way. I swear, time felt like it slowed down as I watched it hover there, completely still except for the gentle spinning of its outer rim.
