I was in my backyard setting up a makeshift obstacle course for my dog, hoping to get some laughs when I heard this low humming sound, like a didgeridoo playing in the sky. I looked up, and there it was - a massive disc hovering just above the treetops, barely 300 feet up. It was like a shiny metallic pizza with pulsating green and blue lights dancing around its rim. I swear, the air felt charged, almost electric, like static before a thunderstorm. Then, out of nowhere, it tilted slightly and zipped away with the kind of speed you only see in sci-fi movies. No sound, just a blur, and it was gone. I stood there, dumbfounded, still clutching the tennis ball I was going to toss for my dog. We both just stared at the empty sky, wondering what on Earth, or off it, we had just witnessed.
