Visible and suddenly and distinctly sharp linear movement with light fading almost instantly

Witness Account

There were 3 of us and we were discussing in a pool with an open skyline when something caught the attention of 2 of us on the horizon above clouds, it appeared as bright as other objects at the time (very likely planets like Venus or Jupiter as it was roughly after sunset, no stars were visible) and at the moment we both looked which was in an instant, we both saw and described the same thing to each other in an instant of awe: the white dot (likely orb) moved in an instant (about a second or 2) in a linear motion horizontally right and slightly upward, with no fragments or offshoots like you’d see with a comet or anything entering the atmosphere. You could trace with a ruler it was so straight, and gradually faded as it moved (my friend described it as a Star Trek kind of hyperspace jump) within that small timeframe. It happened so fast (a second about) but it was vivid and undeniable for both of us, under no influence of substance of any kind. I didn’t perceive a tail of any kind myself but it’s possible it looked like a tail that disappeared just as fast with the fast gradual fade.
