Witness Account

So there I was, painting the walls of my new studio apartment in Vancouver, trying to get everything ready for my art show next month. The radio was playing some old jazz tunes, and I was in my zone. Suddenly, the lights flickered and a strange hum filled the room. I glanced out of the window, expecting maybe a power outage or a street performer with an odd instrument, but what I saw was far from ordinary. Hovering just above the street was a metallic, disk-like object. It had a swirling pattern on its underside, almost like a kaleidoscope, and emitted a soft blue glow. I couldn't tear my eyes away. It moved with a kind of fluidity that seemed to defy the laws of physics, shifting back and forth as if deciding whether to stay or go.
