Witness Account

I was in the backyard, tinkering with my old telescope, hoping to catch a glimpse of some distant star when I heard a strange humming sound. It wasn't like anything I'd ever heard before - it was almost like the sky was vibrating. I looked up and saw a metallic, disc-shaped object hovering just above the treetops. It was silent, except for that odd hum, and seemed to shift colors like a chameleon, blending into the twilight sky. As it hovered, I noticed small lights flickering along its edge, forming intricate patterns that seemed almost like a language. I stood frozen, the telescope forgotten at my feet, as the object began to rotate slowly, then darted off in a zigzag pattern, disappearing over the horizon.
