Witness Account

I was up on the roof, patching a few shingles, when I caught sight of something really strange. It was this metallic orb, about the size of a small car, hovering silently above my neighbor's backyard. At first, I thought it was some kind of drone, but it didn't make any noise and had these weird shimmering patterns that seemed to ripple across its surface. As I watched, it started to shift its shape, almost like it was breathing, expanding and contracting in a way that no solid object should. My cat, Felix, was on the roof with me and he seemed completely unfazed, just lazily swatting at a fly while this thing floated overhead.
