Witness Account

I heard a plane going over the house, so I stepped into the backyard to look at it. When I looked up, I saw a blue, single-prop airplane that was followed by another object. They were traveling east. They were passing almost directly overhead. They were both traveling the same speed and same direction, and the second object was slightly higher up and to the right, or on the starboard side, of the plane. I heard sound from the plane, but not the second object. I watched the second object to determine what it was and see what it did. It was small from my perspective and I made out that it may have been football-shaped. It traveled at a steady pace and in a straight line. After watching it for about 10-15 seconds, I saw it shake a little bit, and then instantly disappear. There were no clouds in the sky and it was a bright and sunny day. The shape of the object did not change; it was a white (or possibly reflective metal), solid, unchanging round or football-shaped object. My background is that I'm a regular wage-earning person with some college education.
