So there I was, sipping a cold brew on the rooftop of my buddy's apartment in Montreal. The sky was a magnificent hue of twilight purple, just starting to blend with the night. Suddenly, out of nowhere, this metallic egg-shaped thing appeared, hovering just above the skyline. It was silent, like a ghost, but with this mesmerizing iridescent shimmer. I swear it was pulsating, like breathing, and casting these kaleidoscope reflections all over the buildings. It moved so smoothly, almost like it was swimming through the air, and I could feel this weird hum in my bones, but couldn't hear it. I know it sounds crazy, but the thing felt alive, like it was watching us back.
