I was out on my rooftop garden, just tending to my tomato plants, when this thing just hovers into view. At first, I thought it was some new-fangled drone the neighbors got, but nah, this was different. It was like this shimmering, iridescent bubble that just floated there, silently, right above the old water tower. I swear I saw a ripple run through its surface, like a pebble dropped in a pond. The strangest thing? My phone screen started glitching out, all static and noise, just as it showed up. Then, just as quick as it came, it darted off in a zig-zag pattern and disappeared over the horizon.
