Witness Account

I was out on the deck of my friend’s houseboat on Lake Union, just enjoying a peaceful afternoon with some tunes and cold drinks. Suddenly, this enormous, metallic object appeared out of nowhere. It was shaped like a flattened bell and hovered silently above the water. I was mesmerized by the way it reflected the sunlight, almost like it was shimmering. It moved in a slow, deliberate zig-zag pattern, which was unlike anything I'd ever seen before. As it passed over, a gentle hum filled the air, almost like the sound of a distant choir. Then, without warning, it shot straight up into the sky and disappeared in an instant. We all looked at each other in disbelief, wondering if we had just shared some sort of collective hallucination.
