Witness Account

So, I'm out there in the backyard, messing around with my old telescope, trying to catch a glimpse of Jupiter, when I notice this strange, glinting object hovering above the trees at the edge of my property. At first, I thought it might be a drone, but it was too quiet and moving way too smoothly. It was shaped like a perfect diamond, with edges that seemed to shimmer in the twilight. As I watched, it began to rotate, almost like it was scanning the area. Then, out of nowhere, a beam of light shot out from its base, illuminating the pond nearby. I swear I saw ripples form on the water, like something was moving underneath.
