Witness Account

Late in evening, my wife and I were standing outside, enjoying the last lights of sunset. It was overcast, but visibility was several miles. Our property sits on a hill and has a view of the coastal range in the distance. We heard a helicopter in the distance coming from the west. This is common here, as there is a military base heading north towards Seattle. We see many different types, some flying quite low. They're well known around these parts, but mostly fly in a north or south direction - rarely from the west. We saw, what we presumed, were the lights on the helicopter - one red, one white. Neither were flashing. It appeared to us both, that in the cloudy distance, there was a dark shape above the helicopter, barely visible. The helicopter was heading directly toward us and we could hear the noise of the rotors clearly as it approached. That was the only noise we heard as it approached. It's pretty apparent if there's more than one craft flying. It was flying at what seemed a normal altitude, meaning we would be able to see what kind of copter it was. When it got closer, it became clear what we were seeing was a very large "plane" followed closely by 4 other much smaller…
