Witnessed two waves of lights ascend into the sky together then separate in different directions, hover, speed up, disappear & reappear

Witness Account

I was in our yard with my two sons and dogs and witnessed a wave of lights in a line going straight up around 9:20 PM. This was looking due West. They started above the horizon coastal hills/ mountains. We are close to the ocean and by the distance, it would appear they would have been at the coast if not over the ocean. There were approximately six of them. I have seen Starlink going across the sky before with about fifteen lights. Starlink were much closer together and only went in a straight line. The lights I saw were further apart, then began to separate, and one made a right angle and went North. The lights were solid, no blinking or pulsating or colors. Two to three of the lights continued to rise for a few minutes until they looked like they were at the height of satellites. A commercial plane flew by which was much lower, even if the cruising altitude was twenty to thirty thousand feet. The commercial plane appeared to be in front of the lights, and had pulsating or blinking lights like a plane would have.
