Spotted multiple points of light moving in various direction often stopping and starting at various altitudes fairly far away I was sitting in the backyard looking at stars because it was incredibly clear out and I thought I saw 2 planes on the horizon which is pretty common but then they faded away into the night and very shortly after another appeared in the same general area but moving in the opposite direction. They looked like far off airplanes or even satellites (points of light like a star) but as I sat there I realized I was seeing 4–5 at time moving in different direction and fading in and out. Then I saw one stop and change direction. After about 10 minutes I asked my wife to come out to see if she saw them. She saw them and we watched as these light moved in all directions for awhile and then I asked my teenage daughter to come and take a look and she confirmed we were all seeing the same thing. Through binoculars I could see others that were to faint to the naked eye. I pulled up my Flightradar24 app and it didn’t show any aircraft in the area we were gazing.
