Witness Account

I was at the local farmer's market, trying to snag the last few peaches before they were gone. As I was haggling with the vendor, this weird buzzing noise started above us. Everyone stopped what they were doing, craning their necks up like a bunch of tourists at the CN Tower. There it was, this odd silver saucer thing, hovering silently at first, then zipping back and forth like it was trying to decide on a parking spot. The vendor just shrugged and went back to weighing my peaches. But I couldn't tear my eyes away. It had these little colored lights that blinked on and off in a pattern I couldn't quite figure out. Before I knew it, the thing shot straight up and disappeared into the clouds, leaving behind a trail of whispers and a market full of confused faces.
