So, I'm chillin' on the balcony, right? Just sippin' on some iced tea, trying to get some air and all. The night was real quiet, except for some crickets and that weird owl that hoots like it's got a grudge. Suddenly, I notice this strange shimmering, kinda like when you look at the road on a hot day. But it's night, and it's just above the tree line. At first, I thought my eyes were playin' tricks, but then it started to move, slowly at first, then zigzaggin' like it couldn't decide where to go. It was shaped like a big ol' teardrop, all shiny and metallic, with this crazy blue glow outlining it. I was totally frozen, couldn't even grab my phone to snap a pic. It made this low hum, like an electric buzz but deeper. I swear it was communicating somehow, though I couldn't understand it. It hovered for a bit, then whoosh, shot straight up into the clouds and vanished. I didn't see it land, but the way it disappeared, it's like it was never there. Gotta say, it was both terrifying and fascinating. I ain't tellin' my neighbors, they'd think I'm nuts.
