i was setting up my new garden sculpture, trying to get it just right when i noticed the air around me getting strangely warmer. i thought it was just the sun, but then i saw this glimmer in the sky that wasn't quite right. it was like someone had dropped a handful of glitter, but it was moving, like a living thing. as it got closer, i could see it was a disc, spinning slowly and gliding without making a sound. i could swear it had this shimmer, like a bubble when it catches the light just right. i stood there, mesmerized, my sculpture completely forgotten. the thing just hovered there for what felt like forever but was probably only a couple of minutes. then, as if it decided it had seen enough, it tilted slightly and shot off in a zigzag pattern that no plane could ever manage.
