Witness Account

I was hanging out at my buddy's boat shop, late afternoon, just as the sun was starting to dip below the horizon. We were testing a new engine on one of the boats, when suddenly the radio went berserk with static, drowning out the old rock tunes we had on. As we looked around trying to figure out what was up, I noticed this shimmering, translucent disc hovering just above the waterline of the harbor. It was kind of like looking at a heatwave, but it moved with such precision, skimming the water without causing a ripple. Then, out of nowhere, the thing zipped upwards, did a couple of loop-the-loops and shot off towards the nearby forested hill. The weirdest part was that the seagulls didn't scatter; they just kept circling like they didn't see it at all. My buddy swears he saw some sort of symbols on the underside of the craft, but I was too caught up in the whole scene to notice anything specific. I don’t think anything landed, but for a moment, it felt like the world paused, and then everything just went back to normal, except our radio, which never quite worked the same after that.
