Object was round at first and rolling (not spinning). then long point came out of side, then turned round again.

Witness Account

My wife and I were sitting outside enjoying the evening. My eyes are always looking to the sky because I'm an airplane geek. (Previous private pilot and small plane owner.) I looked up and to the east and saw a round object rolling like a bowling ball and going very fast straight south at what I would guess at about 8000 to 10,000 feet. after a few seconds, a long point came out of the side facing us, then it went back to a round object. After the point went back in, it went behind a cloud and we lost it. What else amazed us was the speed it was going against the winds. I have an app called Flightradar24 on my phone, so I looked to see if it was a research balloon or anything that would register on the app. It was not on the phone. We were sitting facing south. I later estimated it to be at a 45 degree angle and east of us.
