Thought it was a satellite but it was darting, jerking, circling, holding position, went backwards a few times, moved side to side

Witness Account

I thought that it was a satellite but it wasn’t moving in a smooth straight line. It was darting and moving side to side. Then it would hold position for extended periods before starting to making little darting motions. It would dart from side to side as it moved forward. I watch the sky a lot and I have NEVER seen a satellite move like that! It saw a number of other satellites move by in smooth straight lines. But this was different. It seemed to be in some sort of holding pattern before finally moving off in the same darting motion. It was overhead for well over 45 mins.
