Witness Account

I was sitting in my backyard tinkering with my old shortwave radio when I heard a bizarre crackling sound, almost like a digital echo. I looked up and saw this metallic disc hovering just above the treetops. It was shimmering in a way that made it hard to focus on, like it was phasing in and out of existence. The thing had these strange glowing symbols that seemed to be etched into its surface. They pulsated in a rhythm that made my head spin a little. The craft then tilted slightly and shot upwards at an angle I can't even begin to describe. No noise, just this incredible acceleration. Left me sitting there with my jaw on the ground.
