Witness Account

Early in the morning, before the break of dawn, I observed an intense ball of light from my bedroom window. At first, I assumed it was an airplane; however, it soon became apparent that it was something else, as it was maneuvering at a slow speed and changing altitude at will. From my vantage point atop a hill overlooking the valley, the object appeared to be hovering above a residential area and a park located a few streets away. Throughout the observation, the object's luminosity fluctuated slightly but remained consistently intense—significantly brighter than the lights of nearby buildings or aircraft. Its color appeared constant to the naked eye, although in the video recording it seems to shift through a range of colors. While the object was hovering, I was unable to hear any sound coming from it. I am very familiar with the commercial flight paths over my residence, and this object did not correspond to any of them. Its nonlinear movement, apparent altitude, and overall behavior were unlike those of aircraft typically seen in the area.
