Witness Account

So there I was, tinkering away in my backyard, trying to build this elaborate treehouse for the kids. The sky was just turning that golden hue as the sun began to dip behind the mountains. Out of nowhere, this whirring sound filled the air, like a swarm of bees but much louder. I looked up and saw this saucer-like thing hovering just above the treetops. It had this iridescent glow, kinda like when you hold a soap bubble up to the light. The thing just floated there, almost like it was sizing me up or maybe curious about my project. I waved my hammer at it, and I swear it tilted slightly, as if acknowledging me. Then, in a blink, it zipped away in a zigzag pattern, leaving behind a faint, swirling mist that smelled like burning metal.
