Witness Account

So, there I was, minding my own business at the community theater, just hanging out backstage while waiting for the next act to start. Suddenly, all the lights flickered and we heard this weird humming sound, like an electric guitar string being plucked repeatedly. Everybody thought it was just part of the show, some new special effect or something. But then, out of nowhere, this strange metallic orb just floats down from the rafters, hovering silently over the stage. It looked like it was made of liquid silver, shifting and swirling like a living thing. It stayed there for what felt like ages, just silently observing us, before it zipped off with a quick, impossibly smooth motion, leaving behind a faint, almost floral scent.
