Clear sky, light moved fast, larger than a satellite, lower altitude, moved erratically, seemed to be jumping from place to place.

Witness Account

Very clear night so I was star gazing in my front yard. The moon had not risen yet and my neighbors did not have their lights on. I noticed a very fast light coming out of the northwest heading southeast at an altitude lower than a satellite, but about the same speed, moving faster than aircraft, and no red or green lights just a steady yellowish color. I wondered if it was ISS but that had passed over earlier. Also, there seemed to be a “jumping” or jerky movement to it, not steady, and sometimes it paused for a second. I wondered if my eyes were doing something weird but my husband came out and I pointed the light out to him and he saw the strange movement as well. Also, just before it vanished, there were 2 quick flashes in front of it, almost like a strobe had gone off against a cloud but the skies were very clear. After the second flash it disappeared instantly. I waited to see if it had disappeared behind a cloud I couldn’t make out but it did not reappear, something I think would have happened if it had gone behind a cloud. The whole episode lasted maybe 1 minute.
