Witness Account

I was riding my jet ski in what we call 'the sound.' I stopped to take a break and was floating in the water when I started to look around at the pretty houses. I look towards my right (i was facing west, now looking north north-west) and I see a floating silver 'object.' The shape looked is if it were shaped like a bean (picture Chicago's bean, but positioned upright and standing tall). It was hovering somewhere between 100-200 ft in the air and was about 100 ft from the shore. Guessing by its altitude and my distance from it (6,500 ft) it looked to be perhaps 20 ft tall. I looked away for a second and when I looked back I saw a sudden explosion/air burst about 50 ft underneath it. It appeared as a ball of fire, and dissipated after the initial explosion. I looked down to grab my phone to record it and when I looked back up the entire object disappeared. No audible 'bang' from the fireball, no visible smoke. I would like to add that the weather that day was mostly sunny and no rain. The size is an estimate considering elevation, and relative to the houses nearby it.
