So, I was out in the backyard, trying to fix this old telescope my dad gave me. It was a calm afternoon, no clouds, just the sun shining bright. Out of nowhere, this massive, metallic disc just appeared over the treetops. At first, I thought it was some kind of huge drone or maybe one of those fancy blimps, but it was dead silent. The surface was shimmering, like it was covered in liquid mercury, and it hovered there, not making a sound. Then, it started to rotate slowly, revealing these vibrant, pulsating lights that seemed to change colors randomly. It felt like it was watching me, you know? Almost as if it was curious. I could see some kind of strange symbols on the bottom, glowing faintly, but they were unlike anything I'd ever seen.
