Witness Account

I saw two lights about the size and altitude of a passenger plane. They were traveling as a pair across a clear night’s sky in a east by south easterly direction. From the ground they were about 5” apart and exactly even. At this point I thought they were two planes and was concerned that they were flying so close together. Almost directly over my head there was a kind strange spot about 8” diameter that I thought might be a high cloud. It was a bit darker gray than the rest of the night sky but still had tiny specks of light, like a condensed section of the Milky Way. The two lights flew into the dark spot, but never emerged from the other side of it. Then I see two more lights the same size and altitude traveling the same path, however this time they were staggered, they also flew into the dark spot and never emerged from the other side. Then I see two more light that did the same thing. After 5 to 10 minutes had lapsed, I see one more light and it also follows the same routine. At this point I went back into the house.
