Witness Account

I was kayaking with a couple of friends along the shores of Cook Inlet, just trying to catch some fish and enjoy the calm waters. Out of nowhere, this bizarre metallic disc appears, hovering just above the water, no more than 50 yards from us. It was so close I could see these weird swirling patterns on its surface, like liquid metal shifting and changing. We were all frozen, just staring at it, when suddenly it started emitting this low hum that resonated in our chests. It shot upwards, almost vertical, and disappeared into the clouds in a blink of an eye. We were left there, our jaws dropped, with only the ripples in the water to prove it was real.
