I had just pulled out of the Wal-Mart parking lot and was proceeding south on N Spring Run Pkwy., Eagle Mountain, Utah heading toward home. It was a completely clear blue sky at approximately 11:30 am. A very large shadow passed over me and proceeded south up the northern slopes of Lake Mountain, Utah until it hit the top of the mountain and I was no longer able to see the large shadow. The time it took for the shadow to pass over me until the time it disappeared over the top of the mountain was only five seconds. I came home while scanning the skies and could not see what was making the shadow. We live along the flight path of airplanes coming in and going out of Salt Lake International airport and the radio beacon that is used to line up on approach to KSLC is FFU on top of Lake Mountain. I have been living in this location in Eagle Mountain for over 27 years and am very familiar with the size and diffuse shadows of approaching and departing commercial aircraft, this shadow was much larger than any of those and much faster covering the ground and was much less diffuse because of sheer size.
